Jorge Calderon Chaves

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND COMPLIANCE

Jorge has spent more than a decade as an agronomist. He has advised the Costa Rican government and others to develop and optimize agronomic programs for a range of crops, including bananas, pineapples and sweet potatoes before transitioning to the import and export sector. For the last several years, he has led the negotiation of import, export and shipping contracts for companies around the world, and works closely with the Costa Rica’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock to secure licenses for cannabis production and export.

Riley Shields

DIRECTOR OF CULTIVATION

Riley is Hybrida Farms’ director of cultivation and has spent more than a decade managing cannabis cultivation and operations. He is known for crop production management, facility design, team-building and his award-winning precision cultivation strategies that have yielded some of the finest cannabis on the planet. Prior to joining Hybrida Farms, Riley was the owner of Texas-based Yanasi Farms, where his CBD-rich hemp flower won multiple awards in the “Taste of Texas Hemp Cup.” He was also the director of cultivation at Henry’s Originals and spent three years as a cultivation manager at the Herbal Cure in Denver, where his cannabis won multiple awards at the High Times Cannabis Cup and several other prestigious cannabis cultivation competitions featuring the best growers in the world.
